Workday Technical Developer

Location: 100% remote within the Continental United States

Salary: $100K–$150K base salary, plus benefits

What you will do

• Design complex calculated fields, advanced and composite reports, matrix reports, dashboards, and report-as-a-service integrations.
• Configure business processes, condition rules, approval routing, and role-, domain-, and segment-based security across HCM and Finance tenants.
• Develop Workday Extend applications and PRISM Analytics solutions using supported platform extensions.
• Partner with HR, payroll, finance, integration, product, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into Workday configurations and data flows.
• Support tenant refreshes, regression testing, production troubleshooting, release adoption, documentation, and configuration improvements.
• Provide guidance on Workday design patterns and best practices, participate in code and design reviews, and mentor more junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Five or more years of Workday technical experience.
• Deep expertise in Workday Report Writer, including advanced and composite reports, and strong proficiency with calculated fields across HCM and Finance.
• Hands-on experience configuring business processes and condition rules, with a strong understanding of the Workday security framework.
• Experience with PRISM Analytics or Workday Extend.
• Familiarity with Workday tenant management and the release process.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work within the Continental United States and directly as a full-time W2 employee.
• No C2C, 1099, or third-party arrangements are accepted.

Nice to have

• Workday Pro certifications.
• Experience with Workday Extend application development and PRISM data ingestion and modeling.
• Exposure to multi-tenant or multi-region Workday deployments.
• Experience supporting Workday Payroll or Workday Financials.
