Workday Technical Consultant

Location: 100% remote within the United States; the posting also lists Centennial, Colorado.

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 annually.

What you will do

• Design advanced, composite, matrix, and custom Workday reports, calculated fields, dashboards, and report-as-a-service integrations.
• Configure business processes, condition rules, approval routing, and security domains across HCM and Finance tenants.
• Develop Workday Extend applications and PRISM Analytics solutions using supported platform extensions.
• Partner with HR, payroll, finance, integration, engineering, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into maintainable solutions.
• Support tenant refreshes, regression testing, release adoption, production troubleshooting, and root-cause remediation.
• Document configurations and security models, provide best-practice guidance, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• 5 or more years of Workday technical experience; the position listing also states 6+ years of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Deep expertise with Workday Report Writer, including advanced and composite reports.
• Strong proficiency with calculated fields across HCM and Finance.
• Hands-on experience configuring business processes and condition rules.
• Strong understanding of the Workday security framework.
• Experience with PRISM Analytics or Workday Extend.
• Familiarity with Workday tenant management and the release process.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Workday Pro certifications.
• Workday Extend application development experience.
• Familiarity with PRISM data ingestion and modeling.
• Exposure to multi-tenant or multi-region Workday deployments.
• Experience supporting Workday Payroll or Workday Financials.
