Platform Operations & Automation Analyst Consultant (AI)

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States; onsite/hybrid attendance is required on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Salary: $77–90 per hour.

What you will do

• Provide first-line business-facing support for Finance Product Area applications, triaging, researching, and resolving issues for Finance, Treasury, and Investment Operations users.
• Identify recurring support patterns and manual workarounds, quantify their cost, document root causes, and inform product prioritization.
• Build and improve generative AI skills and agents for business questions, issue research, remediation steps, and automated workflows, with human review before data-changing actions.
• Curate Confluence pages, runbooks, and system documentation to support AI tools and business self-service.
• Coordinate entity consolidation, data remediation, downstream impact analysis, and validation with owning teams.
• Monitor integrations and data feeds, create well-researched Jira stories for production issues, and support UAT and regression testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst for custom development and/or vendor implementations.
• Hands-on experience using generative AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT to automate work by building prompts, skills, agents, or workflows that others rely on.
• Application or production support experience with a record of eliminating recurring issues rather than only resolving them.
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills, including statistical analysis, with the ability to investigate data across multiple systems and databases.
• Experience working collaboratively with Agile methodologies and communicating complex concepts to varied audiences.
• Adaptable, dependable, dedicated, collaborative, and committed to continuous improvement, with the ability to engineer away repetitive manual work.

Nice to have

• Experience in investment analysis and asset management, or familiarity with fund accounting, investor/LP administration, or finance operations platforms such as Investran, iLevel, Salesforce, or DealCloud.
