Associate Principal Consultant - Senior Business Analyst

Location: Hybrid, New York, New York, United States

Salary: $135K–$150K gross annually, including base and bonuses, plus standard hirify.global benefits.

What you will do

• Work with stakeholders to understand business processes, challenges, and technology needs.
• Gather, document, analyze, and translate business and functional requirements into user stories, workflows, and technical specifications.
• Analyze existing systems, conduct gap and impact assessments, and recommend technical improvements or integrations.
• Collaborate with development teams, architects, and engineers on scalable and efficient solutions.
• Serve as the liaison between business and technical teams; facilitate meetings, workshops, reports, dashboards, and solution-design discussions.
• Define UAT test cases, support implementation troubleshooting, and ensure documentation, training, and transition to production.

Requirements

• 8–12 years of experience as a business analyst or product owner in a technology-driven environment.
• Strong understanding of software development, databases, APIs, cloud computing, and system integration.
• Ability to break down complex business problems and translate them into technical solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with business and technical teams.
• Experience with SQL, JIRA, Confluence, Agile methodologies, API documentation using Postman or Swagger, data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau, and cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions.
• Experience working in Agile environments with product owners, developers, and testers.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience with AI, machine learning, or data analytics projects.
• CBAP, CSPO, or Agile certifications.
