Supervisor, Manufacturing Operations (Food Manufacturing)

Location: Hanover, Pennsylvania, United States; onsite manufacturing environment

Salary: $60,200–$82,800 annual base salary

What you will do

• Lead and develop production associates across processing, fried foods, and packaging operations.
• Manage shift performance, production schedules, sales orders, productivity, labor utilization, waste, overtime, yields, and costs.
• Maintain product quality, equipment performance, sanitation standards, and compliance with safety procedures.
• Complete leader standard work, production reports, records, documentation, and shift handoffs.
• Partner with Quality Assurance, Human Resources, Maintenance, Engineering, and plant leadership to resolve issues and improve results.
• Support hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, performance management, employee development, and corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• At least 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, including leading hourly production teams and managing daily shift operations.
• Understanding of production processes, workforce planning, productivity metrics, and cost controls.
• Experience managing performance, coaching employees, resolving employee issues, and driving accountability.
• Ability to analyze operational data, solve production challenges, and interpret business, technical, and regulatory information.
• Strong communication skills across all organizational levels and proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard business applications.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to work a flexible schedule, including extended hours as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work around machinery, noise, temperature variations, fumes, airborne particles, wet or slippery surfaces, and other manufacturing hazards.

Nice to have

• Supervisory experience in food processing or food manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s degree specifically focused on Operations Management, Engineering, or Business Administration.
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies, lean manufacturing, food safety, sanitation, and quality systems.
• AIB Certification and experience with team-based training programs.
• Success implementing productivity, cost-reduction, or process-improvement initiatives.
• Experience in high-volume manufacturing or packaging operations.
