Shift Supervisor (Paper Mill)

Location: Jackson, Alabama, United States; the role provides management coverage on nights and weekends.

Starting salary: $96,000–$120,000 per year.

What you will do

• Represent management on the assigned shift and ensure safe paper mill operations.
• Maintain environmental compliance, quality assurance, cost control, and productivity across the mill.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and consistent communication across shifts.
• Support department managers, superintendents, team leaders, and crew leaders.
• Coach performance, provide feedback on overall performance, and contribute to department initiatives, projects, and mill-wide incentives.
• Provide management attention and focus during nights and weekends.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in pulp and paper, engineering, or equivalent work experience in the pulp and paper industry.
• At least two years of applicable experience in paper mill operations.
• Solid background in paper mill manufacturing, production, and maintenance.
• Ability to learn new concepts and information.
• Organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Written and oral communication skills.
