Building Information Modeling (BIM) Specialist

Location: Remote, United States; coordination meetings may span North American time zones; travel 10–20% required.

What you will do

• Develop, modify, and maintain Autodesk Revit models and AutoCAD drawings for technology and low-voltage systems.
• Model technology infrastructure including equipment, devices, racks, cabinets, cable trays, conduits, pathways, and telecommunications systems.
• Perform BIM coordination and clash detection across architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and other trade models.
• Maintain Revit and AutoCAD standards, including families, views, sheets, links, worksets, shared coordinates, layers, blocks, references, and plotting requirements.
• Create and revise drawing packages, layouts, elevations, details, schedules, riser diagrams, schematics, record documentation, and as-built drawings.
• Track coordination issues, update models after technical direction, and collaborate with project teams, sales, customers, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders across multiple assignments.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or college diploma in architectural technology, engineering technology, CAD/drafting technology, BIM, construction technology, electrical technology, telecommunications, or a related technical discipline, or commensurate technical CAD/BIM experience.
• 3+ years of professional Autodesk Revit/BIM experience and 3+ years of professional Autodesk AutoCAD experience.
• Strong proficiency in 2D drafting and 3D BIM modeling, including creation, modification, and maintenance of project drawings and models.
• Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
• Experience with clash detection and BIM coordination, including identifying, reviewing, and resolving clashes within the assigned project scope.
• Knowledge of Revit views, sheets, families, links, worksets, shared coordinates, parameters, model organization, and AutoCAD layers, blocks, XREFs, layouts, annotation, and plotting.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, MEP, and other construction documentation.
• Experience supporting active construction or technology projects and producing customer-facing drawing packages.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities, strong verbal and written communication, independent work capability, multidisciplinary collaboration, and fundamental Microsoft 365 proficiency.

Nice to have

• Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM 360, Revizto, Bluebeam Revu, Revit family creation, model federation, and shared-coordinate workflows.
• Experience or familiarity with data centers, MEP modeling, structured cabling, telecommunications, security, audiovisual, or other technology infrastructure.
• Experience with data center infrastructure such as equipment racks, cabinets, network infrastructure, cable pathways, conduit routing, and overhead or underfloor infrastructure.
