Design Associate

Location: Rocky Hill, CT, United States; hybrid

Compensation: $64,000–$81,000 annually.

What you will do

• Support planning and design concepts, site layouts, graphics, presentations, and project deliverables.
• Contribute to projects from initial concepts through documentation and final delivery.
• Develop drawings and design materials using AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Revit, and other design software.
• Coordinate with project managers, designers, architects, engineers, BIM professionals, and other disciplines.
• Support construction administration through project documentation, field observations, site visits, and coordination during construction.
• Work with project leadership and QA/QC reviewers to maintain quality, schedules, and project requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Landscape Architecture.
• 0–3 years of related professional, internship, or co-op experience.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with Revit, BIM, AutoCAD, or other design and modeling software.
• Internship or academic project experience involving building or site design.
• Familiarity with construction documents and the project delivery process.
• Knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and industry design standards.
