Group Category Manager Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS)

Location: Kopparlunden, Västerås, Sweden; occasional travel primarily within Europe, a few times per year.

What you will do

• Own and develop the global category strategy for EMS and conformal coating suppliers across the hirify.global Group.
• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, RFQs, supplier selections, and supplier consolidation projects.
• Negotiate and manage global framework agreements and commercial terms.
• Build strategic relationships with manufacturing partners and drive supplier performance, cost competitiveness, and continuous improvement.
• Support manufacturing transfers, capacity expansion, and business continuity planning.
• Monitor electronics manufacturing industry developments and align supplier strategies, agreements, and governance across sites and business units.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a similar field.
• Vast experience in Category Management, Strategic Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Supplier Development, or a similar strategic sourcing role.
• Solid electronics industry experience, including work with EMS suppliers or direct experience within an Electronics Manufacturing Services organisation.
• Strong understanding of electronics manufacturing processes, supply chains, and supplier economics, combined with strategic sourcing and commercial negotiation experience.
• Experience managing supplier relationships, contracts, framework agreements, and supplier performance strategically.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and collaborate across cultures and geographical locations.
• Fluent English and at least basic Swedish.
