Senior Salesforce Engineer, Systems & Integrations (Salesforce)

Location: Remote, United States

Salary: $150,000–$170,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Own the Salesforce environment end to end, including configuration, administration, engineering, and architecture.
• Design and maintain solutions using Apex, triggers, Flow, Lightning, custom objects, and Salesforce automation.
• Build and support integrations between Salesforce, custom backend services, APIs, and user-facing applications.
• Investigate production issues involving data, workflows, synchronization, and system behavior, and resolve root causes.
• Work with business stakeholders to clarify operational requirements and select practical technical approaches.
• Improve testing, source control, CI/CD, deployment, monitoring, recovery, and build-versus-buy practices.

Requirements

• Typically 4–6+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience; more senior candidates are welcome if they remain actively involved in implementation.
• Strong expertise in Apex, triggers, Lightning, Flow, Salesforce automation, data modeling, objects, validation rules, and permissions.
• Experience building and maintaining Salesforce integrations with custom applications, APIs, and backend systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex production problems and implement maintainable solutions independently.
• Ability to investigate business requirements, make technical decisions, and deliver solutions without relying on a wider Salesforce development team.
• Strong communication and discovery skills when working with non-technical stakeholders, including explaining tradeoffs and clarifying ambiguous requirements.
• Experience owning technical decisions across configuration and code, with an understanding of reliable software delivery.
• Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools while remaining responsible for code quality and correctness.
