Select Commercial Lines Account Manager (Property & Casualty Insurance)

Location: Hybrid role based in Florham Park, Toms River, New York, Rye Brook, or Uniondale, New Jersey/New York, United States.

Salary: $70,000–$90,000 per year, depending on experience; bonus eligible.

What you will do

• Manage and coordinate service activities for commercial lines clients generating $5,000 or less in revenue.
• Serve as the primary client contact, develop relationships, and maintain at least 92% retention on the assigned book of business.
• Analyze insurance options, prepare recommendations and proposals, and implement competitive insurance programs.
• Manage renewal workflows, negotiate new or renewed coverage with carriers, and prevent lapses in coverage.
• Educate clients on policy changes, exclusions, coverages, and industry trends; respond to client and carrier requests within agreed timeframes.
• Support claims reporting, invoicing and collections, cancellations, and account management according to USI guidelines and performance indicators.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a commercial property and casualty insurance agency.
• Property and Casualty insurance license required.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Comfort with internet-based programs and Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with minimal instruction and a high degree of accuracy.
• Must keep current with insurance industry information, technology, and trends.

• College degree.
• Industry designation or willingness to expand industry knowledge through courses.
• Knowledge of Sagitta and ImageRight.
