Associate Engineering I (Civil Engineering)

Salary: $67,000–$77,000 per year

What you will do

• Support civil and site design for land development, airport, mixed-use, residential, higher education, and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare site plans, grading plans, utility layouts, stormwater designs, calculations, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D for engineering design and coordinate civil activities with other disciplines.
• Research design issues, evaluate alternatives, and assist with practical engineering solutions.
• Support project teams in meeting schedules, budgets, and technical requirements.
• Participate in field assignments and site visits while assisting licensed Professional Engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Basic proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and understanding of fundamental civil engineering theories, principles, and design practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn technical skills and software quickly, manage assignments, meet deadlines, and work independently and collaboratively.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for field and project assignments.

Nice to have

• Engineer-in-Training certification or progress toward obtaining the EIT.
• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Experience with MicroStation.
