What you will do

• Develop conceptual and detailed 3D structural models and 2D deliverables from engineering sketches, markups, and verbal instructions.
• Produce construction-ready structural plans, framing details, sections, and schedules for complex industrial projects.
• Review personal and peer deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with client and departmental standards.
• Lead small design packages, assign tasks, balance workloads, monitor progress, and maintain deadlines.
• Coordinate across engineering disciplines using Navisworks and Bluebeam to resolve clashes and maintain model integrity.
• Participate in client and stakeholder meetings to resolve technical concerns and develop solutions.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Computer-Aided Drafting and Design, Architectural Technology, or an equivalent technical discipline.
• 5–7+ years of professional drafting and design experience specifically in structural engineering.
• 3–5 years of hands-on Revit experience building complex structural models.
• Proficiency with general CAD and design software suites.
• Reliable, high-speed home internet capable of supporting intensive remote BIM modeling, cloud collaboration, and virtual meetings.
• Strong interpersonal leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage small teams and balance project workflows.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accountability.

Nice to have

• 7+ years of comprehensive structural engineering drafting and design experience.
• Advanced experience with SmartPlant and Tekla.
• Extensive experience with Navisworks and Bluebeam for clash detection and markup management.
• Practical design experience with traditional structural steel framing and reinforced concrete structures.
• Experience with general industrial facilities, high-tech manufacturing, or semiconductor-related cleanroom environments.
