Product Financial Analyst (Fintech)

What you will do

• Support budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and performance management for assigned product areas.
• Analyse product performance, investment spend, revenue, costs, margins, risks, opportunities, trends, and variances.
• Build and maintain financial models and contribute to business cases and scenario analysis for product investments, growth opportunities, and strategic initiatives.
• Support investment prioritisation, capital planning, governance, approved business case tracking, and Quarterly Product Reviews.
• Prepare financial insight, commentary, presentations, and ad hoc analysis for finance colleagues and senior stakeholders.
• Work with Product, Technology, Commercial, and Finance stakeholders to gather inputs, understand business drivers, and resolve queries.

Requirements

• Working towards or recently completed a professional accountancy qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, or ACA.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience supporting financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, and data management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience with data visualisation and reporting tools such as Power BI.
• Experience building or maintaining financial models and an interest in developing business case and scenario analysis skills.
• Working understanding of FP&A processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance management.
• Ability to build effective working relationships, ask thoughtful questions, communicate financial findings clearly to finance and non-finance colleagues, and manage agreed deliverables while seeking guidance when needed.
• Proactive approach, commercial curiosity, strong attention to detail, and commitment to accurate, high-quality financial analysis.

Nice to have

• Previous experience using Power BI to build dashboards and support decision-making.
• Exposure to commercial analysis or business case preparation.
• Understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting frameworks.
• Experience supporting payments, fintech, or product-led businesses, including product performance, investment decisions, and commercial drivers.
