Staff Product Designer (AI Products)

What you will do

• Own product design end to end, from discovery and concept through prototyping, delivery, and launch.
• Take products from zero to one and build new AI products for external B2C customers and internal Payward users.
• Define problems, set direction, and make product decisions in ambiguous environments.
• Design non-deterministic experiences that help users interact with, understand, and trust intelligent systems.
• Partner directly with product, engineering, and leadership to influence strategy and roadmap decisions.
• Conduct user research and use customer insights, data, and experimentation to improve products after launch.

Requirements

• 7+ years of product design experience and a portfolio demonstrating exceptional craft and impact.
• Experience taking products from zero to launch as the lead or only designer while owning the full design process.
• Strong product thinking, comfort with ambiguity, sound decision-making with incomplete information, and adaptability.
• Strong UX and visual design skills for solving open-ended problems with clarity and elegance.
• Advanced prototyping skills for communicating complex interactions and ideas quickly.
• Experience influencing product strategy and cross-functional decision-making.
• Strong systems thinking and the ability to create coherent, scalable experiences from scratch.

Nice to have

• Experience designing non-deterministic experiences, including AI-powered, generative, or probabilistic products.
