Data & Business Intelligence Analyst

Location: Bloomington, MN, US; onsite

Salary: $80,000–$95,000 annually

hirify.global is hiring for a direct-hire data and business intelligence role supporting data-driven decision-making.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau and/or Power BI.
• Extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources using SQL and support ad hoc analysis.
• Gather reporting requirements and key performance metrics from business stakeholders.
• Identify trends and opportunities in large datasets and communicate findings to leadership and business teams.
• Develop recurring operational, financial, and performance reporting while validating data accuracy and troubleshooting discrepancies.
• Document reporting processes, data definitions, and business logic; partner with technical teams on data quality, accessibility, and reporting improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, reporting, or analytics.
• Advanced SQL skills, including complex queries and work with large datasets.
• Experience developing dashboards and visualizations with Tableau and/or Power BI.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
• Experience gathering requirements and working directly with business stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills, including presenting technical information to non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

Nice to have

• Experience with data modeling and reporting best practices.
• Exposure to data warehousing concepts.
• Experience using Python or R for data analysis.
• Familiarity with Azure, AWS, or Snowflake.
• Experience with enterprise ERP, CRM, or operational systems.
