SAP Master Data Governance IT Business Analyst

Location: Seattle, WA, US; up to 10% travel and approximately 10% on-call availability may be required, including support for remote locations, vessels, or offices.

Salary: USD $140,000–$155,000 per year.

What you will do

• Support daily SAP Master Data Governance operations, production issues, enhancement requests, and continuous improvement in SAP S/4HANA.
• Configure and enhance MDG workflows, derivations, validations, duplicate checks, field properties, role-based approvals, data models, BRF+ rules, and Data Replication Framework functionality.
• Translate governance and business requirements into functional specifications, process flows, configuration guidance, and delivery work items.
• Troubleshoot workflow, approval-routing, replication, data-quality, security, and integration issues, coordinating root-cause analysis and resolution.
• Coordinate with business stakeholders, SAP functional and technical teams, Basis, security, integration, and offshore resources on solution delivery.
• Execute unit, regression, and UAT testing, defect resolution, deployment validation, post-go-live support, and hypercare while maintaining process and support documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Supply Chain, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in SAP master data, SAP MDG, ERP data management, or enterprise application support in complex business environments.
• Hands-on SAP MDG experience and working knowledge of MDG-F, MDG-S, MDG-C, and MDG-M.
• Experience analyzing business and data requirements and translating them into functional SAP solutions.
• Experience troubleshooting SAP MDG production issues involving workflows, data quality, security, replication, and integrations.
• Experience with SAP testing and release activities, including UAT, regression testing, defect triage, deployment readiness, and post-production stabilization.
• Strong understanding of master data dependencies across Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Sales, Operations, reporting, compliance, and downstream systems.
• Working knowledge of BRF+, Fiori/UI5, SAP MDG workflows and configuration, DRF, SAP S/4HANA integrations and middleware, data replication and migration, and mass-load tools and processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, documentation, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis, validation, cleansing, reconciliation, reporting, and issue investigation.

Nice to have

• Experience in an onshore/offshore support model with formal handoffs, ticket triage, enhancement backlogs, release planning, and knowledge transfer.
• Business training, change management, and stakeholder enablement experience for SAP master data processes and governance workflows.
• SAP Master Data Governance Certification (C_MDG).
