Manager, Product - LHA Insurance Application Fulfillment

Salary: $146,428–$198,108 per year.

What you will do

• Define and advance product vision, strategy, and roadmaps for application fulfillment across life, health, and annuity insurance.
• Lead and develop three product practitioners through coaching, feedback, performance management, and development planning.
• Strengthen product management practices across discovery, prioritization, delivery, adoption, and measurement.
• Prioritize investments across application intake, case processing, requirements management, underwriting coordination, and policy issuance.
• Modernize workflows, services, and integrations to increase automation, operational productivity, reliability, and transparency.
• Partner with business owners, product teams, engineering, design, analytics, operations, advisors, clients, and technology vendors to deliver measurable outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of relevant business experience, including experience as a product manager, product owner, or in a similar role.
• Experience in life insurance, health insurance, including disability income or long-term care, or annuities, with an understanding of related business processes and operational environments.
• Expertise in Agile product management, stakeholder management, customer and user research, technology management, and process design.
• Understanding of iterative development and software development processes, including the effect of technical dependencies on product planning and delivery.
• Ability to translate business strategy and customer needs into prioritized roadmaps and measurable business outcomes.
• Ability to coach product practitioners and align business and technical stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, facilitation, executive communication, and influencing skills across organizational levels.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, ability to navigate competing priorities, and understanding of emerging technology and its business and customer applications.

Nice to have

• Prior people-management or supervisory experience.
• Experience with insurance application processing, application fulfillment, back-office platforms, or operational workflow modernization.
• Experience establishing product management practices and adopting a product operating model.
• Experience developing business cases, product strategies, and roadmaps supported by value measures and business outcomes.
• Experience leading and influencing cross-functional teams in large, complex initiatives.
• Experience partnering with third-party vendors and managing dependencies across interconnected products and platforms.
