Principal / Lead Product Manager (Carrier Connectivity)

Location: Remote in the United States or Canada. Candidates in Canada must reside and work in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, or Saskatchewan.

Salary: USD $135,000–$210,000 annually in the United States; CAD $175,000–$225,000 annually in Canada.

What you will do

• Own carrier connectivity problems for Connected Trading from diagnosis through production.
• Make decisions on ambiguous, technically complex problems across carrier constraints, system architecture, and agency workflows.
• Design solutions with engineers, including data contracts, authentication, error handling, and failure modes.
• Coordinate priorities, sequencing, and capacity across the Epic, Cytora, and Ivans product and engineering teams.
• Measure delivery success, quote return rate and latency, normalization accuracy, carrier onboarding time, and connected-carrier submission share.
• Partner with product managers and carrier partners while communicating expectations, tradeoffs, issues, and progress to leadership.

Requirements

• Experience owning solutions to complex technical problems through production, beyond writing requirements and handing them off.
• 10+ years of product management experience delivering outcomes for a technical product or product suite.
• Experience defining requirements for a platform, integration, or API product and working with engineering teams that build and operate it.
• Working knowledge of REST APIs, authentication and authorization, webhooks and callbacks, data mapping, and integration failure modes; ability to read API specifications and discuss design choices with engineers.
• Experience delivering through teams not directly managed, with competing priorities and solutions spanning multiple systems that affect customers or partners.
• Strong analytical skills, exceptional written communication, and the ability to produce technical specifications and executive summaries.
• Curiosity to investigate root causes and act without requiring a fully defined problem.

Nice to have

• Insurance experience, especially carrier systems, agency-carrier data exchange, or ACORD standards.
• Experience with data normalization, ingestion pipelines, document and email processing, or AI-assisted extraction and classification of unstructured data.
• Experience building multi-sided marketplace or network products.
• Experience mentoring or guiding other product managers.
