Senior DevOps Engineer

Location: UK; onsite in London four days per week. Permanent, full-time role for candidates based in the UK; onsite travel can be expensed.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure for scalable and reliable applications.
• Build and manage deployment architectures, CI/CD pipelines, and automated infrastructure provisioning.
• Design highly available and fault-tolerant solutions using AWS and container orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Implement monitoring, dashboards, alerts, escalation processes, and observability practices to optimize performance and scalability.
• Apply security best practices across cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and microservices.
• Collaborate with development teams, technical leaders, stakeholders, and clients to analyze requirements, improve deployment workflows, and deliver projects on time.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of commercial experience delivering at a Senior Engineer level.
• Practical experience developing and delivering real-world solutions in an agile environment.
• Strong experience managing and automating cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools, ideally Kubernetes/K8s.
• Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, ideally with GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
• Strong scripting and automation expertise, preferably with Python, plus Linux and Bash experience.
• Experience with observability tools and monitoring frameworks for system performance optimization.
• Solid understanding of security best practices across cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and microservices.
• Professional proficiency in English and excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Experience in financial services, trading, or market-data systems.
