Senior Systems Engineer II (AWS)

What you will do

• Design, operate, and continuously improve cloud-based enterprise system environments.
• Diagnose complex system and performance issues and resolve incidents in AWS environments.
• Implement system configurations, automation, infrastructure as code, and operational scripts.
• Monitor system health, improve alerting and reporting, and address stability, performance, security, and capacity risks.
• Support change management, recovery readiness, disaster recovery, and infrastructure scalability.
• Collaborate with development, support teams, and vendors while reviewing and guiding less-experienced engineers.

Requirements

• Strong experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, networking, IAM, and EKS.
• Solid knowledge of Linux/UNIX systems.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience with scripting and automation using Bash and Python.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of system monitoring and performance-tuning tools, such as CloudWatch and New Relic.
• Experience with incident, problem, and change management processes.
• Understanding of security best practices, including IAM, patching, and vulnerability management.
• Knowledge of system recovery and disaster recovery strategies.
