Business Consultant Architecture Steering & Roadmaps

Location: Mechelen, Belgium. Hybrid work with office presence required at least three days a week during the first six months; remote work from home is available on other days.

hirify.global is building an Architecture Steering & Roadmap team that advises leadership on technology, transformation, and architecture decisions.

What you will do

• Translate business strategy, stakeholder needs, and market or technology trends into clear options and business-value narratives.
• Work with Enterprise Architects to test business framing against technical reality and maintain relationships with Solution and Technology Architects.
• Facilitate strategic workshops, steering input, and roadmap sessions that turn trade-offs into decisions.
• Monitor emerging technology, including AI, cloud, and composable IT, and explain its business implications.
• Help shape the newly formed ASR team and its working agreements as a founding member.

Requirements

• Strong background in business or strategy consulting, with curiosity about IT and technology topics.
• Ability to operate within an architectural context, communicate effectively with architects, ask relevant questions, and understand technical terminology.
• Comfort working with future-focused, ambiguous questions and developing thoughtful scenarios and options.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills, including simplifying complexity for executives, discussing details with technical experts, and constructively challenging assumptions.
• Collaborative, relationship-first mindset with structured and analytical working habits.
• Comfort navigating ambiguity in a newly formed team that is still defining its working agreements.

Nice to have

• Experience in business transformation, strategy consulting, or technology-adjacent business roles.
