Infrastructure & Capital Projects – Senior Mechanical Estimator (Data Center)

Location: Dallas, TX, United States; hybrid workplace with some in-person collaboration required

Salary: USD 160,000–175,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop standardized cost reporting frameworks and estimate evaluation reports for colocation developers’ base-building construction costs across ROM, schematic and construction pricing stages.
• Review project scope against demarcation matrices and identify deviations, cost impacts, assumptions and exclusions from developers, architects/engineers, general contractors and clients.
• Prepare reports aligned with client Work Breakdown Structure categories and summarize Site & Shell, Increment 0 and Increment 1-N construction phasing.
• Analyze data center construction costs against market intelligence and parametric benchmarks, including value-engineering options and security-cost validation.
• Track estimate-revision design changes and report cost and schedule impacts while coordinating with commodity teams and client partner groups.
• Prepare high-level ROM estimates for program planning, annual capital-expenditure planning and pipeline projects; develop cost-modeling tools for benchmark capture and estimate generation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of cost management or estimating experience, including 4+ years as a Cost Manager or Estimator on large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Data center experience is required.

Nice to have

• Proficiency with CostX, Bluebeam, Excel and Accubid.
• Strong Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel capabilities.
• Knowledge of relevant construction technologies and sustainability trends.
• Experience estimating electrical systems at medium and low voltage, including 480V/277V and 120V/208V.
