Senior Electrical Estimator (Data Center)

Location: Remote; remote work is available for the majority of working hours.

What you will do

• Analyze invitation-to-bid documents, construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to determine electrical requirements for data centers and other complex projects.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs using digital tools such as Bluebeam, Accubid, and LiveCount.
• Prepare cost estimates covering materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors, and other direct costs.
• Solicit, analyze, and level vendor and subcontractor quotes; develop basis-of-estimate documentation with assumptions, inclusions, exclusions, and clarifications.
• Collaborate with operations and pre-construction teams on value engineering and constructability reviews.
• Participate in virtual pre-bid and post-bid meetings, prepare proposals, maintain pricing and code knowledge, and manage multiple estimates to strict deadlines.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as an Electrical Estimator in the construction industry.
• Direct experience with data center projects is required.

Nice to have

• In-depth knowledge of primary and secondary power distribution, emergency and backup power systems, branch power, lighting, fire alarm, and grounding.
• Exceptional analytical, mathematical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to independently read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and RFPs.
• Experience estimating large-scale commercial or industrial electrical projects.
• Proficiency with electrical estimating software such as Accubid and ConEst and digital take-off tools such as Bluebeam Revu.
