Director, Financial Systems & Transformation (AI): Building and owning Flex’s financial systems, AI-powered finance workflows, and controls architecture with an accent on ERP administration, close automation, ITGCs, and financial data integration. Focus on designing agent-as-preparer workflows, optimizing accounting processes, and establishing audit-ready access controls and reporting infrastructure.

Location: New York, NY or San Francisco, CA; hybrid with on-site expectations of 2–3 days per week in a local office. Candidates outside the listed areas may be eligible for relocation assistance.

Salary: $180,000–$225,000 USD for the NYC/Bay Area market; $150,000–$190,000 USD for Salt Lake City, with geographic adjustment based on location.

Company

hirify.global is a growth-stage fintech company building a payment layer that helps households view, split, and pay financial obligations while supporting positive credit history through eligible on-time payments.

What you will do

  • Own the ERP, procure-to-pay, travel and expense, FP&A, reporting, reconciliation, and related financial systems.
  • Manage integrations and data flows across financial systems, payroll, engineering, and other upstream and downstream sources.
  • Design and maintain AI-powered workflows for transaction coding, close automation, reporting, inquiry triage, and other finance processes.
  • Own ITGCs, access provisioning, segregation of duties, change management, audit trails, and controls architecture for automated workflows.
  • Build close monitoring, automated reporting, and process improvements across close, AP, payroll, and P2P operations.
  • Build the Financial Systems & Transformation function and serve as the primary technical partner for Finance, Engineering, Product, Data, and AI Central.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in financial systems, accounting technology, or a closely related field, including meaningful experience in a high-growth or scaling environment.
  • Deep ERP expertise, ideally including implementation, go-live, integration design, configuration, and post-live optimization with NetSuite, Campfire, Sage Intacct, or an equivalent platform.
  • Strong finance and accounting foundation, including US GAAP, month-end close, and financial reporting.
  • Experience building or owning ITGC and access control frameworks, including segregation of duties, user provisioning, change management, and audit-trail documentation.
  • Strong financial master data design and governance expertise covering chart of accounts, dimensions, segments, and downstream reporting architecture.
  • Experience redesigning core accounting processes such as close, AP, or payroll around best practices rather than only automating existing processes.
  • Experience working directly with external auditors on IT controls testing and audit evidence standards; Big Four experience is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with API integrations and data pipeline design, including collaboration with Engineering teams.
  • Enthusiasm for AI and automation, with the ability to identify where agent-based workflows can replace manual processes.
  • Exceptional communication skills across finance, engineering, and executive audiences, plus the ability to prioritize and move quickly in a resource-constrained environment.

Nice to have

  • Campfire or other AI-native ERP experience.
  • Experience designing or operating AI-automated finance workflows, including intelligent document processing or transaction coding automation.
  • SOX compliance experience, including ITGC documentation, RCM design, and internal or external audit support, ideally in a pre-IPO or newly public company.
  • Experience with FloQast, BlackLine, or equivalent close management and financial reporting automation tools.
  • Fintech, payments, or similarly regulated financial services experience.
  • CPA or equivalent credential.
  • Formal project management experience or training and experience leading complex cross-functional projects.
  • Experience optimizing or standardizing close processes and reducing close timelines or manual touchpoints.
  • Familiarity with payroll and AP operational practices, including vendor management, payment controls, and exception handling.

Culture & Benefits

  • Work alongside a diverse team across the US, Australia, Canada, and South America.
  • Inclusive culture focused on intelligent, curious, determined, empathetic, and self-aware collaboration.
  • Hybrid work in New York, San Francisco, and Salt Lake City offices, with relocation assistance potentially available for candidates outside these areas.
  • Market-based compensation with geographic pay differentials based on labor-market conditions.
