Senior Mechanical Design Implementation

Location: Hybrid in Lisbon or Kuala Lumpur, with travel to customer airports worldwide

What you will do

• Drive early functional design for Self Bag Drop solutions, from customer site surveys and meetings through supplier engagement.
• Visit customer airports to assess installation spaces, gather requirements, and recommend equipment deployment and adaptations.
• Ensure mechanical and electrical designs integrate reliably with existing baggage handling, electrical, safety, and structural systems.
• Oversee solution validation and provide final customer-solution sign-off before handover to Manufacturing.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Project, Product, Installation, and Quality Assurance teams to deliver cost-effective, compliant solutions.
• Contribute to advisory services for passenger-flow design.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of electromechanical systems, including conveyors and electronic control systems.
• Customer-facing experience with the ability to engage airports, gather requirements, and build trusted relationships.
• Hands-on, multidisciplinary approach across mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, and compliance domains.
• Practical problem-solving skills, including adapting designs to customer-specific needs while considering health and safety, servicing, and manufacturing implications.
• Willingness to travel to customer airports worldwide.
