Process and Equipment Engineer (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Kulim, Malaysia; Shift 1 (Malaysia).

What you will do

• Own and optimize high-volume manufacturing equipment and processes to meet production efficiency, quality, cost, safety, productivity, and yield goals.
• Perform tests and measurements to control critical dimensions, minimize defectivity, and identify discrepant materials or activities.
• Implement process improvements and develop excursion-prevention systems.
• Expand manufacturing capacity and transfer processes to global manufacturing sites through training, audits, and consistency controls.
• Execute equipment maintenance, repairs, installation, conversion, and qualification during factory ramps.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to optimize processes for high-volume production nodes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, with 0–1 years of hands-on experience from internships, academic projects, coursework, or hands-on training.
• Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and data-driven problem-solving methodologies.
• Technical knowledge of mechanical design and electrical circuitry, with familiarity with JMP or SQL Pathfinder.
• Experience with equipment management, maintenance, and process improvement techniques.
• Ability to work effectively in cleanroom environments while using appropriate PPE.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with semiconductor assembly equipment and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of design of experiments (DOE), failure modes/effects analysis (FMEA), and process optimization.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Experience with Power BI, SQL Pathfinder, or related scripting tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in dynamic environments and collaborate across teams while driving initiatives independently.
