Senior Demand Planner

What you will do

• Own and improve customer-, channel-, brand- and item-level demand forecasts for an assigned North American portfolio.
• Translate historical performance, run-rate trends, seasonality, promotions, distribution changes, customer resets, innovation and market intelligence into actionable forecasts.
• Manage the demand planning cycle in Kinaxis, including data cleansing, baseline and consensus forecast review, adjustments, new product introductions, disaggregation and release of demand signals to Supply Planning.
• Validate transactional data, system outputs and reports; identify root causes and correct discrepancies before they affect downstream planning.
• Partner with Sales, Customer Development, Marketing, Finance and Supply Planning to build consensus plans and support S&OP demand and supply reviews.
• Monitor forecast accuracy, bias, service, inventory and other planning KPIs, using exception-based analysis to prioritize corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Analytics, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Minimum 3 years of demand planning experience; independent customer-facing planning experience is strongly preferred. FMCG, preferably CPG, experience is favored.
• Hands-on Kinaxis RapidResponse experience is strongly preferred; SAP or comparable ERP and advanced planning-system experience is beneficial.
• Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, data validation, complex analysis and structured reporting.
• Strong analytical judgment, attention to detail, data validation and root-cause analysis skills.
• Experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of S&OP / IBP, demand review and supply review processes, with the ability to learn company-specific planning processes quickly.
• Clear written and verbal communication, including the ability to turn complex analysis into concise recommendations and decisions.
• Experience or demonstrated interest in applying AI tools, coursework or emerging analytics capabilities to improve planning productivity and decision quality.

Nice to have

• Power Query and/or Power BI experience, including data transformation, dashboarding and reporting automation.
