Location: Edinburgh, UK; office attendance is required throughout the programme, with apprentices expected to work from the office most days initially. Relocating closer to the office is strongly recommended for commutes longer than 1.5 hours.

Salary: £27,400 fixed apprenticeship salary.

What you will do

• Work with large, complex datasets to identify patterns and generate actionable insights.
• Support fraud prevention and help customers make smarter financial decisions.
• Build dashboards and data products for business users and leaders.
• Apply SQL, Python, statistical programming, predictive modelling, and forecasting.
• Improve data visualisation, storytelling, accessibility, ethics, and usability.
• Develop data analytics and AI capabilities through real projects and classroom learning.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 by the end of February 2028.
• National 5 Maths and English at grades A-C, achieved.
• Four Highers at BBCC; predicted grades are accepted, but offers are conditional on successful achievement.
• Currently hold valid Right to Work in the UK; the visa end date must extend beyond the apprenticeship programme, which may last up to five years.
• Be able to attend the Edinburgh office in line with contractual and hybrid-working expectations.

Hiring process
