Manufacturing Systems Engineer (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Kulim, Malaysia; Shift 1 (Malaysia).

What you will do

• Develop, optimize, and sustain advanced manufacturing processes and equipment solutions for high-volume production.
• Conduct feasibility studies and pathfinding activities to meet design specifications.
• Analyze process data to control critical dimensions and defectivity, and implement improvements to production efficiency and output.
• Collaborate with suppliers to improve equipment and materials performance and address material discrepancies against quality standards.
• Lead equipment installations and qualifications during factory ramps, ensuring safe and timely execution.
• Train and audit counterparts at global manufacturing sites to support technology transfer alignment and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field, plus 0–1 years of domain-related hands-on experience gained through internships, academic projects, coursework, or hands-on training; alternatively, a relevant Master’s degree with no prior professional experience.
• Proficiency in statistical data analysis and scripting or analytics tools such as Python, MATLAB, SQL, Power BI, or C++.
• Familiarity with mechanical systems, thermodynamics, materials science, semiconductor packaging and testing technologies, and process equipment.
• Technical knowledge of statistical process control, commonality analysis, design of experiments, and failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
