Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering (Automation)

Location: Bayan Lepas, Penang, Malaysia; onsite

What you will do

• Oversee equipment preventive maintenance according to schedule.
• Manage equipment form-factor conversion, setup, and buyoff.
• Lead continuous improvement projects and new equipment installation or setup propagation.
• Troubleshoot major equipment issues and support spare-parts inventory purchasing.
• Train employees on new SOPs, including human behavior and machine operation.
• Use PLC, CTC, C++, Python, and other machine programming languages for troubleshooting while adhering to OSHA safety and health standards.

Requirements

• Degree in an engineering discipline related to Automation, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a similar field.
• Good command of English.
• Expertise in control systems.

Nice to have

• Up to 3 years of experience.
• Basic understanding of machine programming languages such as PLC.
• Ability to use CAD.
• Programming experience in Python or C++.
• Understanding of AI infrastructure, including LLMs, machine learning, or agentic AI.
