Manufacturing Process Sustaining Engineer (Optical/Photonic Manufacturing)

Location: Pathumthani (Navanakorn), Thailand; work is performed in office, engineering laboratory, cleanroom, and manufacturing-floor environments.

What you will do

• Monitor manufacturing-process performance with SPC and analytical tools, maintain process stability, and support production operators and technicians.
• Troubleshoot process, yield, quality, material, and equipment issues; analyze production data and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Develop, validate, and implement process improvements to increase quality and yield while reducing defects, cycle time, and manufacturing costs.
• Lead or support Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, continuous-improvement, automation, and manufacturing-efficiency initiatives.
• Support new product introduction, development-to-production transfers, process qualification, validation, pilot builds, and production ramp-up with R&D, NPI, Production, Quality, and Equipment Engineering.
• Create and maintain process specifications, work instructions, control plans, Engineering Change Orders, traceability records, and audit documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in manufacturing, process, or sustaining engineering.
• Knowledge of SPC, RCA, CAPA, FMEA, DOE, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma.
• Strong troubleshooting, data-analysis, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prepare and maintain technical and manufacturing documentation.
• Good cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
• Good command of English communication.
• Compliance with safety, ESD, cleanroom, quality-system, operational-procedure, and customer requirements is required; personal protective equipment and cleanroom garments may be required.

Nice to have

• Experience in optical, photonic, electronics, semiconductor, or high-technology manufacturing.
• Competence in manufacturing process sustaining, technical problem solving, data analysis and decision-making, process optimization, quality and compliance awareness, accountability, and continuous improvement.
