What you will do

• Lead and manage Head-Disk-Interface integration work to improve product yield, quality, and test time.
• Support tribology improvement initiatives for sustaining products and help improve performance and longevity.
• Support the early ramp-up of HAMR products, driving tribology and related product improvements.
• Conduct failure analysis and provide feedback to relevant teams for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with FJ HDI Development, HDIFW, and Head/Media teams to improve product detectability and meet quality standards.
• Optimize Head/Media processes and support qualification of Head & Media Engineering Changes, with focus on yield, quality, cost, and supply chain efficiency.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• 0–2 years of experience in programming for data analytics using Python, C++, and SQL.
• Strong communication skills in English and the ability to collaborate effectively with a global team.
• Proficiency in basic analytical tools such as Excel, JMP, and Minitab.
• Strong problem-solving, creativity, flexibility, and initiative.
• Leadership abilities and a positive, proactive mindset.
• Good presentation skills, including animation and video editing.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of HDD failure analysis, reliability, HDD components, processes, and technologies.
• Familiarity with quality management practices in the HDD industry.
