Staff Operational Readiness Technical Program Manager (AI Infrastructure Deployment)

Location: Houston, New York, San Francisco, or Seattle, with travel up to 50% of the time primarily to data center sites.

Salary: $190,000–$300,000 USD base salary annually; bonus, equity, and/or commission may also apply.

What you will do

• Own operational readiness checklists for GPU clusters, tracking platform services, dependencies, owners, evidence, blockers, and recovery dates.
• Coordinate infrastructure bring-up across networking, management connectivity, core services, cloud platform, storage, control planes, and application services.
• Assemble customer handover packages covering scope, GPU capacity, metadata, contacts, architecture, network overview, bill of materials, validation evidence, deviations, risks, and remediation items.
• Lead formal operations acceptance and confirm ticket routing, hardware returns, diagnostics, spares, escalation contacts, and contractual hardware-failure support terms.
• Brief customers and leadership on readiness and risk, track post-handoff items to closure, and improve templates, checklists, and acceptance processes.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in infrastructure operations, SRE, service transition, or technical program management for large-scale data center or cloud platforms.
• Hands-on experience moving new infrastructure into production support, including runbooks, ticketing, escalation, and hardware returns.
• Working knowledge of DHCP/PXE, DNS, NTP, PKI, secrets management, identity and access, observability, and asset systems such as NetBox.
• Familiarity with GPU cluster validation evidence and its mapping to customer acceptance.
• Ability to coordinate owners across engineering, SRE, networking, and operations toward firm deadlines.
• Clear, concise writing and the ability to produce customer-signable documents without rewriting.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, primarily to data center sites.

Nice to have

• Experience handing over NVIDIA GB200/GB300 or Vera Rubin NVL72-class clusters to hyperscaler or AI lab customers.
• Production experience with OpenStack, Ceph, Kubernetes, Vault, or similar platform services.
• Background in ITIL service transition or an equivalent operational acceptance process.
• Experience with contractual SLAs for hardware failure, repair, and service credits.
• Experience building automation for readiness tracking and handover reporting.
