Principal Technical Program Manager (TechOps Transformation)

What you will do

• Lead a multi-year enterprise IT transformation across infrastructure, migration and application modernization, and operations workstreams.
• Convert target architecture and current-state gaps into phased roadmaps with dependencies, resourcing, milestones, budgets, and success metrics.
• Coordinate data center modernization, hardware refreshes, virtualization and hypervisor transitions, storage and network modernization, and legacy-environment decommissioning.
• Run wave-based application migration and portfolio rationalization using disposition frameworks such as the 6Rs, tracking progress through legacy retirement.
• Drive automation, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, self-service platforms, and AI-assisted operations while embedding Zero Trust, policy as code, high availability, disaster recovery, backup, and audit evidence into the target state.
• Establish governance, measure value, align executives and delivery partners, and lead adoption of new platforms, standards, and ways of working.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 12+ years of progressive experience in technical program management, IT program management, or a similar role in a complex, global enterprise technology environment.
• Proven experience leading large, multi-year IT transformation programs with significant budgets, multiple workstreams, and executive visibility.
• 5+ years of hands-on program experience in at least three of the following: data center and infrastructure modernization; virtualization or hypervisor migration and consolidation; hybrid and multi-cloud adoption or migration; application portfolio rationalization and modernization; infrastructure automation, IaC, CI/CD, and self-service platforms; IT service management and CMDB; AIOps, observability, or autonomous operations.
• Working knowledge of enterprise architecture, Zero Trust security, and resilience patterns including HA, DR, backup, and RTO/RPO tiering.
• Experience managing global delivery across onshore teams, offshore engineering, and third-party partners.
• Strong financial and portfolio management skills, including business cases, cost baselines, stage-gated funding, and benefits realization.
• Exceptional executive communication, influence without authority, and the ability to simplify complex technical trade-offs for senior leaders.
• Certification such as PMP, PgMP, SAFe, ITIL, or equivalent.
