Manufacturing Operation Manager

Location: Onsite in Kulim, Malaysia; supports a 24/7 factory environment with rotating day and night shifts and weekly shift rotations.

hirify.global's Manufacturing Systems team supports operational excellence across advanced production facilities by overseeing manufacturing processes and equipment systems.

What you will do

• Lead technicians in a high-volume manufacturing environment while maintaining safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and repair, act as the first responder to issues, and collaborate with engineering teams on factory-impacting challenges.
• Develop and execute tactical plans to meet production schedules within quality and cost objectives.
• Manage shift schedules, workstation assignments, rotations, training plans, vacations, and overtime assignments.
• Build training strategies, monitor skill readiness, and maintain staffing certification levels aligned with production goals.
• Develop long-term operational improvement strategies and foster an inclusive, productive work environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automation Engineering, or a relevant field, and/or equivalent experience per business needs.
• 0–1 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing or operations, including skills gained through internships, academic projects, coursework, or hands-on training.
• Proficiency in English communication.
• Technical understanding of equipment maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting processes.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in a relevant engineering field with no prior professional experience.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills for managing and motivating diverse teams.
• Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment and drive operational improvements.
