Senior EHS Specialist (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Austin, Texas, United States; some domestic travel may be required.

Base annual salary: $79,125–$116,050.

What you will do

• Promote a safety-first culture and lead EHS improvement initiatives across site operations.
• Conduct onsite audits, inspections, risk assessments, and in-fab GEMBA safety observations.
• Manage ISO 45001 compliance activities and monitor compliance with EHS regulations and company policies.
• Develop and deliver EHS training, toolbox talks, safety communications, and knowledge transfers.
• Investigate incidents, analyze root causes, recommend improvements, and report EHS performance metrics.
• Collaborate with leadership, customers, operations teams, and other stakeholders while supporting audits and site management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in EHS roles, preferably in semiconductor manufacturing or advanced technology environments.
• Familiarity with global EHS regulations and industry-standard data management systems.
• Strong collaboration, communication, creative problem-solving, adaptability, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively, manage competing priorities, follow through with minimal supervision, and respond to changing regulations.
• Experience analyzing complex data, presenting actionable insights, leading EHS improvement projects, training colleagues, and implementing EHS best practices.
• Commitment to ethical decision-making, open feedback, continuous improvement, and meeting local and global standards.
• Ability to work onsite to deliver in-person training, conduct customer-fab audits and observations, attend shift pass-downs as needed, and support employees.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Experience using Intelex EHS management software.
