EHS Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Murrieta, California, United States; onsite, not remote

Salary: $83,000–$120,000 per year

What you will do

• Implement EHS programs in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Evaluate workplaces, equipment, and practices; conduct audits, process and equipment reviews, and track corrective actions to closure.
• Deliver safety training, demonstrate safety equipment use, and ensure employees receive position-specific EHS training.
• Investigate accidents, identify causes, reduce workers’ compensation exposure, and monitor leading and lagging safety indicators.
• Advise management, liaise with regulatory agencies, maintain accident records, and prepare reports for corporate EHS.
• Develop site emergency-response plans covering hazardous materials and spill response, and support risk-reduction and performance-excellence initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and/or 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience in the company’s industry or industries with comparable risk profiles and cultures.
• Demonstrated success implementing safety programs across facilities.
• Practical site experience in a highly engineered or manufacturing environment.
• Technical capacity, organizational skills, strategic thinking, and problem-solving and analytical ability.
• Strong communication, computer, and presentation skills.
• Ability to develop and implement EHS programs and work effectively with management and manufacturing-floor associates.
• Ability to work in an office and manufacturing facility with heavy machinery and combustible gases; lift up to 50 pounds and work with materials, tools, varying heights, temperatures, and extended periods on foot.
• Domestic and international travel may be required. The position may include direct supervisory responsibilities.
