Senior Engineer Systems & AI (Core)

Location: Stockholm, Sweden; office-first with four days per week in the office. You must already have the right to work in Sweden and be based in Sweden.

What you will do

• Identify complex technical problems spanning systems, teams, and ownership boundaries, and establish clear paths forward.
• Drive cross-team technical decisions, architectural trade-offs, and alignment through sound reasoning.
• Move between architecture, system design, implementation, prototypes, and technical experiments.
• Identify dependencies and risks, challenge established approaches, and assess operational and organizational consequences.
• Share knowledge and improve technical judgment across the engineering organization.
• Explore how AI and agent-driven development can change engineering practices, system design, tools, and software operations.

Requirements

• Senior-level engineering experience with a strong technical foundation and a track record of solving complex production problems.
• Experience with architecture, system design, and complex production systems.
• Experience with distributed systems, backend engineering, cloud infrastructure, or other technically demanding environments.
• Ability to work across technical domains, understand unfamiliar systems quickly, and contribute hands-on with code, prototypes, and experiments.
• Ability to identify problems between existing ownership areas and take responsibility for moving them forward.
• Ability to influence experienced engineers across teams through technical reasoning, collaboration, and practical contribution without formal authority.
• Curiosity, fast learning, and willingness to revise approaches when new information supports a better solution.
• Experience integrating AI into the development workflow and actively exploring agent-driven development.
• Must already have the right to work in Sweden and be based in Sweden.

Nice to have

• Experience with streaming, playback, or audio/video technology.
