Shipping Receiving Supervisor

What you will do

• Supervise receiving, shipping, distribution, unloading, staging, inspection, storage, and movement of materials.
• Determine shipping methods, inspect outgoing shipments, calculate cost-efficient shipping, and maintain accurate shipping and receiving records.
• Resolve discrepancies involving invoices, packing slips, receiver reports, and accounting records.
• Support inventory management through part-number tracking, inventory balances, reporting, physical inventories, and cycle counts.
• Operate material-handling equipment such as tier lift trucks, hand trucks, and forklifts, and coordinate required equipment training.
• Monitor employee productivity, provide coaching, maintain safety standards, and train staff in hazardous-material and equipment handling.

Requirements

• Must work onsite in Atlanta, Georgia, United States.
• Ability to supervise shipping, receiving, warehouse, and distribution activities.
• Ability to comply with safety processes and hazardous-material requirements.
• Ability to operate or learn to operate material-handling equipment, including forklifts and lift trucks.
• Ability to maintain accurate receiving, shipping, inventory, and cycle-count records.
• Ability to train employees, monitor productivity, and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
