Outbound Operations Manager

Location: Phoenix, Arizona, United States; onsite second-shift warehouse role.

Salary: $70,000–$80,000 per year.

What you will do

• Direct daily picking, packing, staging, and shipping while balancing volume, staffing, schedules, equipment, and customer and carrier deadlines.
• Monitor order queues, dock activity, and carrier cutoffs to prevent bottlenecks and late shipments.
• Hire, train, coach, cross-train, and provide feedback to warehouse associates while building accountability and recognition into daily operations.
• Resolve shipping errors, discrepancies, and damages in coordination with Inventory, Receiving, Customer Service, and Sales.
• Use productivity, accuracy, on-time shipment, damage, labor, and safety data to identify root causes, improve performance, and maintain procedures and training materials.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant facility, oversee end-of-shift closing, and support peak periods and special projects.

Requirements

• Experience leading outbound, warehouse, distribution, or fulfillment teams.
• Quick, sound judgment when priorities compete and plans change.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn data into decisions.
• Working knowledge of fulfillment, shipping, inventory controls, carrier requirements, and warehouse safety.
• Availability to work second shift.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Nice to have

• Experience with WMS, order management, or shipping systems.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or business.
