Senior Project Manager (Piping Support Systems)

What you will do

• Lead multiple complex engineered-to-order projects from contract award through final delivery.
• Manage project plans, schedules, critical paths, resources, budgets, financial forecasts, risks, quality, and contractual requirements.
• Act as the primary customer contact, lead kickoffs and status reviews, manage expectations, and resolve escalated issues.
• Direct cross-functional collaboration across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, quality, and sales.
• Lead engineering reviews and factory verification and acceptance activities, while resolving technical, operational, and financial challenges.
• Mentor project managers, support PMO portfolio decisions, and drive process improvement, lessons learned, and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, Engineering Management, or a related technical field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Five or more years of progressive experience in project management, engineering, or complex engineered-to-order projects, including demonstrated success managing multiple large-scale projects.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating with engineering, procurement, manufacturing, quality, and other stakeholders.
• Strong experience managing project scope, schedules, resources, risks, quality, budgets, costs, and contractual requirements from engineering through final delivery.
• Ability to anticipate and resolve complex project challenges, manage competing priorities, and implement recovery strategies.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and customer relationship management skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction and repeat business.
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, take ownership of outcomes, and drive results in a fast-paced, technically complex environment.
• Experience managing projects across multiple industries; preferred applications include power generation, nuclear, naval, or defense.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed and maintain confidentiality of proprietary, customer-sensitive, and competitive information.

Nice to have

• Experience with piping support systems.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
