Manager Software Engineering

Salary: $105,500–$195,900 annually

What you will do

• Lead software engineers in designing, developing, and delivering software solutions.
• Define project requirements with cross-functional teams and ensure successful delivery.
• Mentor team members through one-on-one meetings and performance assessments.
• Support software engineering strategy and alignment between technology and business goals.
• Lead agile processes, including sprint planning, execution, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with architects and senior engineers, monitor progress, and resolve risks affecting timelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Typically 7+ years of relevant industry experience, including at least 3 years in a similar role in software engineering.
• Experience in a managerial role overseeing teams and/or projects.
• Proficiency in at least one software language and development methodology.
• Strong programming, debugging, communication, and team leadership skills.
• Ability to manage software projects and resources effectively.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in a related field.
• Relevant certifications or training.
