Manager, Global Technology - EXP.O NOW Tracking and Data (Logistics)

Location: On-site in the greater Seattle, WA area at Downtown Seattle, Federal Way, Lynnwood, or Bellevue (Factoria); candidates must be local or willing to relocate. Relocation assistance is not offered.

Base salary: $164,000–$246,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead and develop a team of 7 engineers responsible for tracking and reporting applications.
• Own delivery and operational support for Query Service, Reporting Service, Scheduler Service, Template Service, Report Depot, Notification Service, Image Service, and visibility-ui.
• Partner with a Technical Product Manager and program leadership to define priorities and deliver the EXP.O NOW Tracking and Reporting roadmap.
• Provide technical leadership for modernization, scalable reporting, enhanced APIs, self-service capabilities, reliability, and operational health.
• Hire, onboard, retain, and develop engineering employees while establishing accountability, ownership, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with Account Management, Sales, Branch Operations, technology stakeholders, importers, exporters, logistics professionals, and supply chain organizations to improve customer visibility and adoption.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of experience with Java/Spring Boot backend development, REST/GraphQL APIs, and relational databases using SQL.
• 3+ years of experience with Agile methodology and practices.
• 3+ years in a formal technical leadership role, such as manager.
• Experience coaching and developing technical employees, coordinating work across stakeholders, managing competing priorities, and delivering technology solutions that support business objectives.
• Experience working in collaborative, cross-functional environments.
• Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Eligibility to lawfully work in the U.S. immediately; U.S. work authorization sponsorship or transfer, including H-1B sponsorship, is not available.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of experience in logistics, freight, or supply-chain industry.
• Experience with Agile methodology and practices.
• Agile certification such as CSM or PMI-ACP; cloud platform experience with AWS or Azure; and familiarity with containerization and microservices architectures.
• Prior people-management experience leading engineering teams of 5–10 engineers in a product or platform environment, including hiring and staffing responsibilities.
• Familiarity with shipment tracking, reporting, visibility platforms, and DevSecOps practices.
• Experience with Agentic AI development processes and practices.
