Category Specialist (Mechanical / Electrical)

What you will do

• Support regional and global sourcing initiatives under a Category Manager or independently within defined thresholds.
• Develop sourcing strategies aligned with business requirements and continuous improvement processes.
• Plan and track procurement activities, budgets, emerging-country spending, and savings forecasts.
• Purchase materials according to technical specifications, pricing, delivery, quality, and commercial requirements.
• Negotiate with suppliers, renew price lists and terms, and manage supplier contracts and framework agreements.
• Select and develop suppliers based on quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability criteria.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, International Trade, Business, or a similar field.
• 5+ years of experience in sourcing or purchasing within the manufacturing industry; electrical or mechanical experience is preferred.
• Project or program management experience.
• Supplier development experience.
• Advanced English is required.
• Experience with SAP and MS Excel.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of electrical standards including OL, CSA, CFE, and ANSI.
