Associate Commodity Manager (Packaging and Labels)

Location: Chihuahua, Mexico; hybrid with at least three days per week in the office and up to 25% travel

What you will do

• Develop and implement direct-material sourcing strategies for packaging and labels to improve flexibility and supply assurance.
• Forecast containment and inflation projects for current and future years.
• Improve trade working capital through increased payment terms, lower inventory, and shorter lead times.
• Develop capacity and regionalization plans for each commodity segment.
• Establish supplier agreements and conduct electronic sourcing bid events.
• Collaborate with Supplier Quality to improve supplier performance, communicate strategies, lead meetings, and deliver presentations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• At least one year of experience in procurement or a related function, including co-op experience.
• Strong project management skills and a strategic, results-oriented approach.
• Ability to review processes and provide feedback for process improvement.
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, and charts.
• Ability to work in the Chihuahua office at least three days per week and travel up to 25%.

Nice to have

• Two years of experience in procurement or a related function.
• At least two years of experience in commodity management.
• Experience developing and sourcing packaging and label suppliers.
• Experience managing a commodity, team, or large-scope project.
• Technical ability to read blueprints.
