Commodity Analyst – Procurement Operations

What you will do

• Support buying strategies, purchasing activities, purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and timely delivery of materials and services for projects in the United States.
• Act as a liaison between suppliers and internal users, obtain quotations, negotiate prices, terms, quality requirements, framework agreements, and price agreements.
• Manage supplier relationships through supplier visits, business reviews, order acknowledgements, and follow-up on delivery, quality, contract, and invoice issues.
• Review requisitions, supply plans, project plans, sourcing strategies, market conditions, and opportunities for supplier-driven cost reductions.
• Develop supply sources, maintain supplier data, and use SAP and digital procurement tools to manage purchasing activities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, procurement regulations, and contractual coverage requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field; an engineering background is preferred.
• Preferably 5 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain, Sourcing, or Procurement.
• Working knowledge of SAP or another ERP system.
• Experience in commodity or supply chain management and contract management.
• Demonstrated success delivering increased value and significant cost savings through strategic sourcing and supplier analysis.
• Self-motivated and solutions-oriented, with the ability to challenge the status quo and build collaborative relationships across partner levels.
• Strong individual contributor, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to influence and challenge cross-functional teams to meet project objectives.

• Familiarity with digital procurement tools.
