Tool Equipment Install Engineer (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Coordinate with factory owners, stakeholders, suppliers, contractors, and engineering teams to align equipment, materials, resources, schedules, and delivery milestones.
• Track and resolve tool-installation constraints, quality issues, scheduling problems, commercial risks, and site roadblocks.
• Represent the local site in central tool-installation and virtual factory forums, and lead planning and coordination meetings.
• Forecast equipment workload and funding requirements, maintain purchase orders and commitments, and process funding requests before work begins.
• Drive configuration management, part-number and equipment genealogy accuracy, systems alignment, and right-first-time order and kit delivery.
• Act as the primary equipment owner from pre-design through SL2 signoff, leading troubleshooting and ensuring safety, quality, protocol, and housekeeping standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical field plus 1+ year of construction, engineering, or project management experience; alternatively, a master's degree in one of these fields with no prior professional experience.
• Leadership, communication, planning, teamwork, decision-making, and influencing skills in a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment.
• Ability to manage discussions with executive management, work hands-on when needed, identify improvements, develop concepts, and solve problems.
• Ability to drive change and decision-making at the cadence required by Moore's law.
• Must be able to work onsite in Phoenix, Arizona.

• Familiarity with advanced semiconductor fabrication processes and equipment installation requirements.
• Experience collaborating across contractors, suppliers, and engineering teams.
• Root cause analysis and technical validation experience.
• Proficiency in configuration management, equipment troubleshooting, and manufacturing process control.
• Understanding of environmental health and safety guidelines for tool installation and operation.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation and apply disciplined project-management execution.
