Process Engineer (Semiconductor Thin-Film Deposition)

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States; travel required up to 10% of the time; relocation eligible.

Salary: $124,000–$171,000 per year.

What you will do

• Design experiments, collect and analyze data, and prepare reports on complex process engineering studies.
• Characterize hardware systems, measure film properties, and interpret results.
• Troubleshoot process engineering issues, perform root cause analysis, and resolve customer concerns with limited supervision.
• Create product documentation, presentations, and technical reports.
• Identify and collaborate with vendors and suppliers while implementing new technologies, products, and analytical instrumentation.
• Support junior colleagues and lead project teams as needed.

Requirements

• 5+ years of semiconductor process engineering experience, including process optimization and thin-film deposition in an R&D or high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Ability to develop new processes, analyze complex data sets, and drive technology roadmaps from concept through qualification.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
• Conceptual and practical expertise in complex problem solving.

• PhD in a related field.
