Sr Business Strategy Specialist (Corporate Strategy)

What you will do

• Develop financial models, scenario analyses, sensitivity analyses, forecasts, and valuation assessments for strategic opportunities, investments, transactions, and operating models.
• Support corporate strategy development by translating enterprise priorities into strategic questions, initiatives, choices, and decision requirements.
• Build market, competitive, customer, financial, technology, regulatory, and project-pipeline intelligence.
• Evaluate M&A, partnerships, alliances, and other strategic transactions, including commercial diligence, synergies, integration considerations, risks, and economics.
• Support capital allocation decisions by comparing competing uses of capital and management attention and quantifying opportunity costs and tradeoffs.
• Prepare executive, Board, investor, and decision-making presentations while coordinating inputs across Finance, Operations, Commercial, Legal, Engineering, and business-unit teams.

Requirements

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; an MBA is preferred.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in corporate development, strategy consulting, investment banking, strategic finance, market intelligence, or a comparable analytical role.
• Strong analytical skills, including structuring ambiguous problems, testing hypotheses, evaluating quantitative and qualitative evidence, and distinguishing facts, assumptions, and judgment.
• Strong financial modeling skills, including investment analysis, capital allocation strategies, and scenario planning.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other financial analysis tools.
• Knowledge of corporate strategy, M&A processes, and valuation techniques.
• Ability to produce concise, decision-oriented materials and explain complex analysis to senior executives and Board-level audiences.
• Problem-solving, data synthesis, communication, executive influence, cross-functional collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to promote company values and a healthy, safe work environment.

Nice to have

• Experience working in the construction and energy industries.
• Experience with Power BI, data visualization, research databases, and AI-enabled analytical tools.
• MBA.
